HISTORIC RIO GRANDE THEATRE

"Rio Grande Theatre"

This is a study for a show coming up in May featuring "Main Street, Las Cruces NM".
The Rio Grande Theatre has been designated an historic building...
the only restored two-story adobe theatre in the U.S.
A 422-seat facility with state-of-the-art equipment, it is operated by
the Dona Ana Arts Council, and is considered the "Jewel in the Crown
of Downtown Las Cruces".

I love this building.....I spent many hours here as a Board member of the
Arts Council.  As the subject for a small painting for the upcoming
show, however, it requires lots of detail work.
Shall I?  or shall I select a subject that doesn't require
my nose to be on the canvas?

Stay tuned.......

Your love of this building shows through, Kathy.
This is a great angle shot and you captured the essence of the architecture and sign in a great way.
My vote it you select this one!
